In conjunction with Evershed Robotics Limited Fisher Smith recently installed a RoboVis machine vision system into a UK plumbing part manufacturers site.

RoboVis works with a Kawasaki RA06L 6 axis robot which picks rough blank parts off a conveyor belt, having received pick information from RoboVis via an Ethernet connection.

The robot places parts into a B2B machine which in turn carries out multiple machining operations.

The vision system uses a Basler GigE camera with Vision & Control FALKD300x240-R LED illumination.
